Continuing to break various records, Suzuki Auto sold 4 734 vehicles in July. This new all-time sales record has positioned the Japanese brand as the third best-selling car provider in South Africa, behind Toyota and Volkswagen. With 14.87% of the passenger vehicle market, Suzuki continues to prove itself as a motoring force to be reckoned with.

“The demand for the Suzuki brand has never been this high,” says Henno Havenga, Manager of Dealer Sales at Suzuki Auto. He continues, “The demand for our vehicles is growing every day as word spreads about our vehicles’ durability and fuel efficiency.”

Leading the charge, the Suzuki Swift had 1 521 buyers in July. It was followed by the Vitara Brezza with 636 units, the new Baleno with 466 units and the Jimny with 326 units. Across the board, all models performed well above expectations.

If we analyse the past 3 years, Suzuki South Africa has almost doubled its sales every year. From January to June 2020, Suzuki sold 6 605 vehicles. Flash forward to 2022 and the brand has already delivered 22 468 models.

“While we celebrate every sale, our focus remains firmly on ensuring that we give every customer the same level of service that we have become known for. This applies to owners of the most affordable S-Presso to fleet buyers who purchase several hundred units at a time,” says Havenga.

Looking at the year ahead, Suzuki Auto plans to meet customer demand by expanding its dealer network. Alongside this, new cars and variants will be introduced in a number of categories.
